Your time could make someone's first visit easier.

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room to make a difference. Tgirl Club volunteers help us create welcoming events and activities in Bolton, Greater Manchester. Being reliable, patient and willing to listen matters just as much as being outgoing.

Ways to Help

Welcome and hostess support: Welcome visitors at the venue, answer practical questions, help people find their way around and make introductions with their agreement.

Event support: Help prepare the space, welcome guests or assist with agreed tasks alongside the event team.

Classes and practical skills: Share relevant experience in makeup, clothing, alterations or making. Tell us what you could offer and how you would help beginners learn.

Behind the scenes: Help with organisation, accessible information or community content within an agreed role.

What You Can Expect

These are unpaid volunteer roles for adults aged 18+. We'll talk through your interests, availability, role boundaries and the support you need before agreeing a role. Induction and a named point of contact are part of the volunteer arrangement.

You are not expected to be available all the time. Agree the tasks and hours you can manage. Any expense arrangements will be explained before you commit; this makes no promise of reimbursement.

What We Ask

Respect people's names, privacy and boundaries. Be dependable about agreed commitments, tell us when plans change, and refer concerns to the appropriate team member. Volunteers must not present themselves as healthcare professionals or offer clinical advice through their club role.
