Your First Visit
You don’t have to take your first step alone.
Planning your first Tgirl night out or thinking about presenting publicly for the first time? You don’t need to arrive feeling confident. Our hostesses will be at the venue to welcome you, answer questions and help you settle in at your own pace. Our events in Bolton, Greater Manchester, welcome first-time visitors and people arriving alone. You can arrive in everyday clothes, use the changing facilities and meet one of our hostesses when you arrive.
- Check the event details and plan your journey.
- Meet one of our hostesses when you arrive.
- Confirm changing and access arrangements.
- Take a look around together.
- Say hello to someone new, when you are ready.

You can take this at your own pace.
Perhaps you’ve been thinking about coming for months. Perhaps you only found us today. You don’t need the perfect outfit, a polished look or an explanation of who you are. You can begin with a question.
Before You Leave Home
- Check the event date, venue and ticket details.
- Pack clothing to change into if you plan to dress in our changing room and any personal makeup supplies.
- Bring your ticket and if you are lucky to look young enough, you might need proof of age.
- Plan manageable travel, including your journey home.
Arriving and Saying Hello
Come in the clothes that suit your journey. When you arrive, one of our hostesses can welcome you, explain the space and show you the changing room.
You can ask for an introduction, or simply take a moment to look around. There is no requirement to dance, socialise with everyone or stay until closing.
Your Welcome Team
Introduction: A friendly starting point for your first visit. Ask about arriving on your own, finding the changing area or arranging a few introductions once you’re settled.
All Tgirl Club hostesses and staff are easily spotted by their ID badge that is clearly displayed.
The Wider Welcome Team
No two first visits are quite the same. Our hostesses bring different perspectives and personalities, with a shared commitment to treating people with warmth and respect.
You don’t need to choose the “right” person. Our hostesses will be at Tgirl Club events to welcome visitors, answer practical questions and help with introductions.
What We Can Help With
- Explaining the event and arrival arrangements.
- Showing you changing facilities and lockers.
- Offering introductions with your agreement.
- Helping you locate venue staff if you have a concern.
- Pointing you towards published community and professional resources.
Understanding the Role
Hostesses give their time voluntarily. They aren’t available around the clock and cannot guarantee continuous one-to-one support during a busy evening. They do not provide counselling, diagnosis, medication advice or personal care services.
Meet a Hostess
Our hostesses will be at the event. If you arrive alone, are presenting publicly for the first time or simply feel a little nervous, come and say hello. We can show you around and help you settle in.
Changing and Belongings
The event includes a private shared changing room and lockers while available. Bring the items you need; personal makeup and clothing are not supplied.
Names, Privacy and Photographs
Tell us the name you want us to use. You don’t have to share your wider personal story. Membership and attendance aren’t published in a directory.
You can say no to photographs. We ask all guests to respect one another’s privacy, although we cannot guarantee complete anonymity in a shared venue.
If You Feel Overwhelmed
Find a hostess or member of venue staff and tell them what would help. That might be a seat, help finding your belongings, or a quieter conversation where space allows. Leaving early is fine.
Our hostesses offer practical and peer support. They are not counsellors or emergency responders.
A Few Common Worries
I don’t know whether “Tgirl” is the word for me. You don’t have to adopt a label to attend. We welcome adults of every gender identity and sexuality.
I’m worried my makeup won’t be good enough. There is no standard you have to meet. We strive to have someone to help with makeup at each Tgirl and Admirers event. Our classes are there if you’d enjoy learning, not because you need to change your appearance to belong.
Can I bring a supportive friend? Yes. They need their own ticket and must be 18 or over.
Can I take a selfie. There is a designated photo wall where you can stand and use our backdrop.
Can I talk to someone before booking? Yes. Choose Contact and tell us which event you’re considering.
Your Next Step Can Be Small
Read a little more, send a message or choose a date. We’ll help with the practical questions, and you decide when you’re ready.
